Renewable Energy Company Takes Top Rankings Overall and Stands Out as Sole Energy Company Award Winner

Asbury Park, NJ – June 22, 2022 – Solar Landscape, a leading full-service community solar and solar energy solutions company, today announced that it has been named a 2022 “Top Workplaces” by NJ.com Top Workplaces. Solar Landscape was ranked in the Top 5 overall out of Small Businesses in New Jersey Top Workplaces, and was the only energy company on the list of 88 total companies across Small, Medium, and Large categories.

“We are proud to be at the forefront of bringing renewable energy to underserved communities,” said Shaun Keegan, CEO of Solar Landscape. “Our success is due to the hard work and commitment of our construction and development teams. We’ve been asked how we accomplish so much, but it’s not a secret – it’s our people.”

“Top Workplaces” are chosen based on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous survey administered by the employee engagement organization Energage LLC. The survey measures 15 “culture drivers” including alignment, execution, and connection.

Solar Landscape’s co-founders and childhood friends Keegan and Corey Gross fostered a family-oriented workplace atmosphere where hard work and dedication is acknowledged and rewarded, talent is nurtured, and ongoing training and professional development is a part of the culture.

The company has been recognized for its work training solar installers and expanding the pipeline of candidates working in the clean energy economy. Its Director of Community Engagement, Kate Gold, was recognized as a 2021 Top Solar Changemaker by Solar Power World, the premier media outlet for the U.S. solar market, for her impact on workforce development and overseeing solar installer training for hundreds of candidates across New Jersey.

The company received early recognition for its rapid response to a lack of trained solar installers when the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities launched its successful Community Solar Pilot Program. Amidst the obstacles of training and expanding a workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic, Solar Landscape partnered with Edison Job Corps, the New Jersey chapter of the U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps training program, to provide tuition-free career technical training using virtual curriculum. Solar Landscape quickly adapted to provide 100interested students with remote, no-cost solar installation training.

Eric Rubino, Energage CEO said, “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business,” said.
